How many slides should I use for a 30-minute presentation?
Most presenters find that using visual aids helps to engage their audience. However, many make the mistake of leaning too heavily on their slides which can detract from their speech and hijack listeners.
If you search the internet, you will find various guidelines for AV support, including “no more than 1 slide per minute”. And while that may be a good rule of thumb, the #1 rule around slide support is to ONLY use a slide deck when it maximizes the impact of your message, making it easier to understand and help your audience to “get it”.
