“UP” Your Value Quotient

Rather than emphasizing facts during your presentation, capture the essence of what makes your message unique and therefore memorable to your listeners. This key differentiation can be referred to as your Unique Perspective (UP). Think of your UP as a single sentence that clearly summarizes the core or purpose of your presentation, providing focus and guiding the development of your “story.”

Start by answering these questions:

  • What was it about this project that piqued your interest?
  • What makes your story unique?
  • What about this will be of interest to your listeners?
  • What do you want your listeners to say or do as a result of your presentation?
